Writing (Co-)Lab: ENPA Pre-Conference Workshop for Graduate Students and Early Career Scholars
June 6th 2023, University of Oslo (on site), free
For the last three years ENPA has facilitated virtual spaces for early career scholars and students to exchange ideas, build connections and co-create intellectual communities in the field of psychological anthropology. The Junior Scholars Community and the Works-in-Progress Seminar have fostered exciting conversations about various topics in psychological anthropology and allowed us to break down some of the barriers and hierarchies that many of us encounter in formal, academic spaces. The Works-in-Progress Seminar in particular has offered a platform for scholars at various stages in their careers to share and receive feedback on their work that is not yet finished, perhaps even just starting to take shape, in an informal, welcoming and caring space.
Now, we are very excited to invite graduate students and early-career scholars to a pre-conference workshop that builds on this virtual community and offers participants an opportunity to connect in-person, build networks, and receive in-depth feedback on their work, which the conference panel format doesn’t usually allow. Participants are welcome to share the papers they plan to present at the conference or other pieces of work they’d like to discuss. The workshop format is planned to accommodate between 15 and 20 scholars, each of whom will have a chance to present and discuss their work in smaller thematic groups.
The pre-conference will be a full day workshop taking place on Tuesday, June 6th, before the commencement of the 2023 ENPA Biennial Conference. Applications are now closed.
