The European Network for Psychological Anthropology (ENPA), a research Network of the European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA), is inviting applications for up to three ENPA Convenorships. Co-Convenors lead an international Board of scholars and practitioners at different career stages who run the research Network. The Board and Network gather regularly online and at the Biennial ENPA and EASA conferences. Convenorships are being advertised for an initial two-year term from September 2026 to August 2028, with the possibility of extension to a four-year term. All board positions are unsalaried, fuelled by a passion for psychological anthropology and the pleasure of participating in our community. Convenors engage in such activities as:
- Organising, chairing and documenting online board meetings (every six weeks).
- Coordinating and following up on task groups.
- Arranging ENPA activities, including our Biennial conference and annual Prize for a remarkable published paper.
- Attending online Network meetings of the European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA), managing EASA funds and completing annual EASA network reports.
- Promoting psychological anthropology through outreach and networking activities (including the SPA, ENPA blog, podcast, and initiatives for impact and knowledge exchange).
Please send a motivation letter, including mention of prior involvement in the network and a statement on potential future contributions (approx. one page), no later than July 31st 2026, to: jl137@soas.ac.uk and suzana.jovicic@univie.ac.at
Selection criteria: PhD in anthropology, psychology, or related fields // previous engagement in the network // motivation letter and future contribution to the network.
The outcome will be publicly announced at the Annual ENPA Network Meeting (online, 8 September 2026, 12.00 CET).
