ENPA’s Public Engagement toolkit, designed by Eleni Kotsira as part of the Task Force on Public Psychological Anthropology, is a resource that helps researchers think about and design public engagement events and activities. It includes 3 main sections:
- An introduction to what public engagement is, why it is important, and the different activities it encompasses.
- A step-by-step guide to designing, delivering and evaluating public engagement events.
- Case studies of public engagement events, provided by ENPA members, that can serve as inspiration.
A draft version of this toolkit was first launched in a specialised workshop at TAN’s 2025 Conference Anthropologists and New Audiences: Pathways to Teaching and Learning. During the test & learn of that workshop, it emerged that the toolkit can also be useful to researchers beyond psychological anthropology, therefore we invite you to share it freely with your colleagues.
