Applications for ENPA convenorship, 2024-2028

The European Network for Psychological Anthropology (ENPA) is inviting applications for an ENPA convenorship, 2024 – 2028. The selected convenor will succeed Dr. Anni Kajanus (University of Helsinki) and work alongside Dr. Suzana Jovičić (University of Vienna), Dr. John Loewenthal (Keele University), and the ENPA board, a group of international scholars committed to furthering psychological anthropology. All board positions are unsalaried, fuelled by a passion for the field and the pleasure of participating in our community. Co-convenors of the Network engage in such activities as:

Coordinating task groups, organising and chairing online board meetings (every six weeks), writing up the notes and following up on to-dos. Advertising and arranging ENPA activities including our Biennial conference and annual Prize for a remarkable published paper. Attending Network meetings of the European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA), managing funds, and completing annual network reports. Promoting psychological anthropology through outreach and networking activities (including the ENPA blog, podcast, and initiatives for impact and knowledge exchange).

Please send a motivation letter (approx. one to two pages) including a statement on potential future contributions to ENPA, and a statement on previous commitments and participation in the network, no later than Friday 28th June 2024 to info@enpanthro.net.

Selection criteria: PhD in anthropology, psychology, or related fields // previous engagement in the network // motivation letter and future contribution to the network.

The outcome will be announced at the ENPA Network meeting in late July 2024.
